Through effective multi-institutional collaboration, the Atlanta Global Research and Education Collaborative (AGREC) bolsters global engagement in the region by supporting “Global at Home” projects that empower faculty, students, and community partners to use research, education, and action to address global issues. Since its 2020 launch, AGREC has supported 26 collaborative, interdisciplinary research and education projects with seed-funding totaling $260,000.
The AGREC “Global at Home” Showcase is an opportunity for the audience to learn about the Collaborative and talk to institutional representatives and four project teams. The panelists will share principles and practices of engagement that have helped them develop equitable and sustainable partnerships that generate positive results, and give advice on garnering support for collaborative research activities and social enterprises.
The showcase will be followed by a networking lunch which will spark conversations about collaboration and connect people and organizations who want to work together toward common goals.
